What is body langauge?

Body language includes facial expressions, gestures postures, smell, touch, voice and sounds. Facial expressions may express feelings of love, hatred, anger, joy, sorrow, worn tiredness, anxiety, suspense, satisfaction, fear, zeal, surprise approval, pride, etc. People can communicate many moods through gestures and posture. Nod of head, shake of head, bow of head, shrug of shoulder, closed eyes, droop of shoulder show of hand, point of linger, tapping of fingers, clenched fist thumb-up sign, folded arms, crossed legs, handshakes, etc. say many things. Posture means style of standing. It indicates confidence or nervousness.

Smell is a strong communicant. Fragrances convey positively. Touch may communicate feelings of love, affection hatred, or anger. A kiss, a pat, a slap, a pinch, a tickle, a push a pull, and a fist communicate different messages. Then hoi you speak is also very important. Your voice quality and extra sounds you make while speaking are part of nonverbal communication called paralanguage. Pleasant voice has a good impression upon the others.
